Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth within our Highway Dedicated Logistics (HDL) division in Ontario. This role involves building and nurturing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to our growth in bulk transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth by expanding market share in Chemical Liquid & Dry, Agricultural Dry, Food Grade, Mining, and Rail Transloading product lines.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking weekly and monthly performance.
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring new sales staff.
  • Develop and present customized proposals and value propositions.
  • Manage relationships with key clients, addressing and resolving service issues.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create sales strategies and support business growth.
  • Work closely with operations teams to balance capacity and demand.
  • Liaise with collections to meet Accounts Receivable targets.
  • Represent Harmac at industry events and gather market intelligence.
  • Participate in budget planning and business reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in B2B sales with proven success in generating new business.
  • Degree or diploma in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Transportation industry experience is an asset.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel throughout Ontario as required.
