Position Overview:
As a Psychotherapist with Altum Health, you will work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide therapeutic services to individuals impacted by workplace injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and other situations. Your role will involve conducting psychosocial assessments, delivering individual and group therapy, and developing evidence-based treatment plans to help clients return to daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychosocial assessments for clients with injury-related psychological issues.
- Deliver individual and group psychotherapy using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches.
- Develop and adjust treatment plans, collaborating with the program psychologist as needed.
- Facilitate educational sessions based on CBT principles.
- Document client progress, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Participate in research, quality improvement, and training activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Health or Social Sciences (preferred) or a Bachelor’s Degree with two or more years of relevant experience.
- Membership in good standing with a relevant health professional College (e.g., Ontario College of Social Workers, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
- Training in CBT from a recognized institution and experience in its practical application.
- Experience with RTW (Return to Work) planning, concussion management, pain education, and mental health support.
- Background in trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction treatment.
- Experience with telehealth services and case management preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable in interdisciplinary team settings.
