Averaging Agreement: Overtime is applicable after 80 hours in accordance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA).
About the Role:
Paladin Security is seeking a full-time Security Guard for break relief at Toronto Pearson Airport, Canada’s busiest airport with over 44 million passengers and 456,000 flights annually. This role offers an opportunity to provide top-notch customer service in a dynamic airport environment, where you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly flow of traffic and ensuring a positive experience for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide break relief to staff at designated airport terminals.
- Control vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the groundside areas, ensuring safe and efficient movement.
- Direct commercial and public vehicles along their designated lanes.
- Conduct regular patrols and direct traffic and pedestrians, providing information on vehicle parking, stopping, and loading/unloading.
- Control crosswalks, lane separations, and designated areas as required by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA).
- Address areas of congestion, ensuring safe and efficient movement.
- Maintain clear work areas, free of obstacles such as baggage carts.
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Prior experience in traffic or crowd management is an asset.
